KARNATAKA HOLIDAY - A RESPONSIBLE
TRAVEL TOUR
On this holiday you will be experiencing of the highlights
of southern Karnataka. The tour is taken at a relaxed pace
(two or three nights at most places) and offers a mixture
of sightseeing, wildlife viewing and leisure time. The
accommodation used comprises a mixture of top range hotels,
eco-friendly resorts and homestays. All are comfortable and
the owners have a strong belief in ecotourism. Your
transfers will be in a chauffeur driven air-conditioned
car. This tour does not compromise on comfort, despite
being responsible.

DAY 1
Arrive in at Bangalore – Karnataka’s state capital. Two
nights at Our Native Village.
DAY 2
A full day relaxing and enjoying the activities on offer at
this eco-friendly resort.
DAY 3
Transfer to Hassan visiting the Jain pilgrimage site of
Sravanabelagola (with one of the tallest monolithic statues
in the world) on the way. Two nights at Hoysala Village.
DAY 4
Hassan is your base for visiting the near-by Hoysala
temples of Belur and Halebid.
DAY 5
Transfer to Coorg. Coorg used to be an independent princely
state but since the creation of Karnataka in 1956 it no
longer officially exists, although many of the traditions (eg
the language and style of dress) remain. The area is now
called Kodagu and is simply a district of Karnataka. Three
nights at Bel Home.
DAYS 6-7
Two full days in the area allowing plenty of time to
discover Coorg and enjoy the hospitality at this homestay.
DAY 8
Transfer to Nagarhole. Three nights at Orange County –
Kabini.
DAYS 9-10
Two full days enjoying the facilities of the hotel and
taking jeep safaris into Nagarhole National Park.
DAY 11
Transfer to Mysore. Three nights at Gitanjali Farm.
DAYS 12-13
At leisure and sightseeing in the wonderful city of Mysore.
DAY 14
Transfer by train to Bangalore. Overnight Laika Boutique
Stay.
DAY 15
Transfer to Bangalore airport for your return flight. |

people travelling together and sharing a

costs of international flights to and from the

people travelling together, adaptations to the

If you would prefer not to stay with
a family in their home there are hotels available as
an alternative.

There is no beach section in this
itinerary but it would be possible to include one in
Northern Kerala if required.

If you also want to see Karnataka’s
most famous landmark – Hampi - this can be arranged.
It is much further north than this trip takes you so
you must be prepared for travelling longer
distances.
