MANGALORE
On the coast in the far south of Karnataka, Mangalore is a major port for the export of coffee and spices. It is rarely visited by Western tourists but does have some interesting churches. However, most people come to Mangalore because it has an airport (as well as a railway station) and is therefore a hopping off point for Northern Kerala.
